Our Journey to EasyBind: Making BFAs Simple and Affordable

When my wife and I got married, we were thrilled to start our life together. She had savings, I owned some investment properties, and we both expected to receive modest inheritances from our families. As we entered this new phase, we wanted to make sure our financial arrangements were clear and fair.

We decided a Binding Financial Agreement (BFA) was the way to go. We wanted something that would protect what we each brought into the marriage and keep things straightforward if our circumstances ever changed. But we quickly found out that getting a BFA done wasn’t easy.

Finding a lawyer who really knew their stuff about BFAs was tough. Many didn’t offer the service, and those who did charged outrageous fees—some quotes were as high as $10,000! Even the ones who could draft a BFA often didn’t do a great job. We ended up paying $4,000 for drafting and another $2,000 for certification—totaling $6,000. And it took us four months to get everything sorted!

That’s when we thought, “There has to be a better way.” We realized that if we had a simple, affordable template, we could have saved a lot of money and hassle. That’s how EasyBind came about.

We created EasyBind to make the BFA process easy and accessible for everyone. Our goal is to provide straightforward templates and clear instructions so you can handle your BFA without spending a fortune or dealing with unnecessary delays.

If you’re looking for an affordable and easy way to set up your BFA, we’re here to help. At EasyBind, we’re all about making financial planning simple so you can focus on enjoying your life together.
